Hi

The majority of the production moved to China in 2002/2003. Only the Heritage, Blue/Gold, and Creambacks (plus some custom speakers for some amp companies) were still made in the UK, as far as I know. Currently all Celestion speakers are made in UK again. Is It true?

I have a 2006 Marshall 1960B Vintage where Celestion/Marshall V30 speakers are made in UK.

What years Marshall cabs has V30 speakers made in China?

Thanks

@Kuga If your speakers have small white labels on the side of the magnet, look for the # "50" on that label. Those were made in China.
Thanks. My 2006 1960B Vintage has made with UK speakers. I guess a 2005 1960A Vintage should have UK made Speakers. What do you think?

I have some G12H 30w 70th Anniversary speakers from Sept. 6th, 2002 which appear to be UK made (Designed, Developed & Manufactured in Ipswich, England; no "50" on the label).

No "50" on this '06 V30. I guess a 2005 Marshall 1960A Vintage should has same made in UK speakers. I replaced aluminium wires for coper wire years ago. Currently I think all Marshall cabs has coper wires. My two 2021 1936 G/GS has coper wire.

Could be made in UK, I'm not an expert on the timeline. Note however that the sticker simply says "IPSWICH ENGLAND", not actually "made in" anywhere. Maybe it says it somewhere else on the speaker, of course.

Interesting. I think they are made in UK. My '89 and '98 G12-75T don't have any Made In sticker just as this '06 Marshall Vintage. Just has IPSWICH ENGLAND sticker. My '16 and '19 G12 H30 has Made in UK label and Made in UK sticker. My creambacks G12H and greenbacks G12M has Made in UK label but Celestion internacional sticker.

Do you think this '06 Celestion/Marshall Vintage speakers are made in China?

If a speaker is made in the UK thesedays, it says it explicitely somewhere in my experience. The first two pics clearly are UK production, the second two only name the company - not the origin of the product.

No. That is false.

Related, they did bring production back to the U.K. from China with the G12M Greenback, Classic Lead 80, and G12H 70th Anniversary within the last 4 years or so.

You know my English level it's poor. I tryed to say Celestion did bring production back to UK. What do you undestand on "Currently all Celestion speakers are made in UK again. Is It true?"

No problem at all my friend.

The way it was written, you were asking if every speaker Celestion makes is made in the U.K..

Respect to you for being able to speak and write multiple languages! It's is difficult.

The last time I reached out to Celestion was in the fall of ‘22 (Dr. Decibel) and this was what I was told. “Of the standard 12” speakers, the Vintage 30, G12T-75, G12K-100, V-Type, A-Type, Midnight 60 and Seventy 80 are NOT made in the UK. All others are.” I haven’t rechecked with them directly since then but the last two that I bought last year were UK made. ( Alnico 90 cream and G12H-75 Creamback.
