Yeeeeah, but maybe they played C-Standard Drone-Metal all day every day, and all you wanted to play is some good ole AC/DC... D:
AC/DC plays a lot of C chords, so that would probably be beneficial for you

No idea how many hours were on my cabs previous to purchase. I think my newest speakers are 2010 or so?

I just unboxed it, needs cleaning and I need to make sure the impedance before I test it later. I don't know if it has the original speaker in it or not.

I tried the two Oris side by side and together today... I was shocked, the new cab with stock speakers killed my cab replaced with the G12T-75s.. more volume more bass.. everything.
I wonder if I wired the speakers wrong...

I've rolled all my speakers in the cab and none sound as good as the stock G12H EVH that came in it. With anything else it's a very dark cab, darker than my EVH 212. I think it might have something to do with the built in beam blocker. The EVH logo is sitting dead center of the speaker, I tried removing it, but it's still got a bracket that cuts across the center about an inch wide.

I am however very impressed with the H30, I didn't like the ones I had before. I don't know if it's because this one is broken in good, or if it's a different speaker than the 70th anniversary H30. I still haven't gotten an answer on that.

Different tubes? Maybe the KT66s are that much bigger sounding? Have you tried switching heads?

Is the new cab "new" - i.e. are you sure they are stock Seventy-80's?
I never compared them side by side, but the T-75's are slightly lower efficiency and Seventy-80's are a brighter speaker.

Same two amps and cabs... The original amp and cab I have done pre and power tubes and a bunch of speakers. I ended up loving the KT66s and the preamp tube I found.
New amp and cab, same, but stock. Better.
Tomorrow, I will swap the heads, that may tell the tale. Bottom line right meow is, that Switchbone is the bees knees.

That Avatar M65 speaker I have in my Mojotone cab is fucking magic! I've never had a better sounding cab. The weird part is, it doesn't sound good in my other cabs, and I don't like the sound of that cab anywhere near as good with any other speaker. I just stumbled across the best speaker/cab combo I've ever had...a match made in heaven!

So, @fitz what I was talking about before about stealthing my Origin? Well it's going to happen. I need to make either the cab match my amp, or my amp match my cab better, and I figure rather than trying to change the grill cloth on my cab, something I don't know if I can even do, I'm going to make my Origin unique instead.

I've sent a message to Sandy to see about getting the new face plate made, black with white lettering. I'm waiting to hear back. I don't know how long it will take, I'll probably have to send her my face plate to copy, but as promised, when it's done the original face plate is yours if you still want it.

This post is wordy because I don't think I talked about it here so no one else knows what I'm talking about. lol I'm also going to lose the gold piping and paint the Marshall logo black. :D

Awesome!
That's going to look badazz with the MJ112 cab. :yesway:

I was thinking you'd need to send the plate to get an accurate copy.
Glad to pay for shipping plus whatever.

If anyone is wondering, I want it for my inverted combo chassis.
So, if anyone wants an Origin20 combo face plate...

p.s. I've painted a few logos, and it works fine.
The one shown above was standard white, painted rattle can black, and then gold paint pen on the face of the script.

This is the first time I've ever said this, y'all know my track record with amps, and I'm even going to use the "N" word now... The Origin is the absolute best amp I've ever owned and is NEVER going anywhere! Anything else is just for fun, the Origin is my amp. I waited to be 100% sure before I decided to do anything to it. I know I'll NEVER sell it, it does it all and it's everything I ever wanted.

I'm super glad you like it, and I'll admit, I'm also super surprised that you do.
(I have been following your quest for overdrive tones at low volume...)

No argument from me that the Origin20 is an amazingly versatile amp.
I got the 2nd one because it was a ridiculous deal on a chassis only combo, and I was looking for something to put in those cabs.
No regrets on my part, the pair is what got me hooked on stereo amps.

The black panel / logo stealth O20 is going to look super cool. :yesway:
And I'm stoked to get a head panel for my #2.

I'm as surprised as you are. I really thought it was just going to be a toy, something to goof around with while I waited for my Ceriatone to be built. I never expected to fall in love with it. I blame my John H M2, without that I wouldn't have been able to get to the good stuff. I've learned so much with this amp, I finally get what everyone says about cranking an amp to get the goods. I've never been able to get good clean tone by rolling down my guitar volume, or that "edge of breakup" stuff everybody talks about at the low volumes I play at, and then be able to kick on an OD and/or boost to goose the gain to get my hard rock/metal tones. It just works for me, better than anything else I've ever tried. Way way better than the SC20 did for me, and I don't miss the high gain plexi stuff I thought I needed at all.

Oh shit, there are more 2 speakers I haven't tried in it yet. I forgot about my Creamback H75 and my Jensen Nighthawk. They are both in my 212 cab right now, duh. I need try those. If wasn't buzzed and it wasn't so late I'd be doing now instead of talking about it.
