There's a lot of used gear on the market, so it makes sense to me.

The 30% off sticker for mass production stuff continues. Sometimes more sometimes less, especially if you really gotta have it.

The vintage is Nitro finishes, with fake ageing and cracks.
Basically they seem to be American Vintage but 3x the price.

Seems to be an excuse to raise prices, but I wonder how long Fender can keep doing this before they give themselves a bad name for poor value.

The price hikes will continue as long as all our current systems are in place. 2x a year before the tariff stuff started.

Iirc an ultra in canada is less than an av2, but i havent looked lately.

I saw a teaser on instagram - lacquer and stainless frets, vintage voiced pickups.

There's a fresh new bunch at my local shop since Friday. I saw them get delivered. I want the white (blonde?) one. I could zip over and get it right now.

But I ain't payin' no $3,000 +tax for a f***ing Fender Strat, stainless steel frets or not.
