Of my four guitars, the one I made myself is louder acoustically, has no dead spots, and the longest sustain.
It's a Charvel Model 4 copy, but with a set neck, Kahler bridge, and HH pups (X2N/D Activator-X Neck).
So maybe not the most sweet sounding electrically (I love it though).
Pickup wise, my Charvel Fusion, with a Tone Zone and two passive EMG singles has the best all round pup sounds.
The Charvel San Dimas sounds great in split modes, but I don't really get on with the JB in full H mode.
The one that should probably be the best is an Ibanez Prestige RGA321F.
But whilst I do love it, nothing really stands out acoustically, or pickup wise (Dimarzio IBZ's).
Strange really, but it's still a keeper.
