I have a few channels on Pandora I created that seem to kind of coalesce.
The latest one started with Quensryche but it is getting a wide variety now.
I really like hearing stuff I haven’t owned in a while like Heaven n Hell .

this very moment?

Uli Jon Roth Beyond The Astral Skies LP, I bought back in around '84/85, when it came out...

I bought one of those tube pre-amp's & some GE JAN tubes & it sounds pretty amazing through my Yamaha studio monitors...

Makes the records rich & punchy, especially the bass...

It has opamps for drive, w/ 3 settings. Depending on the setting, the sound is pretty unaltered. Kick it up a notch & the kick drum thumps. Turn it up full & the bass guitar is huge, but, it compresses the kick, depending on the recording & levels, obviously, but as a general rule, that seems to be how it operates. I like the middle setting, unless the recording doesn't pop enough...

This record could use a good cleaning though, it's pretty crackly...

Ok, I just started listening to Nostradamus 3 LP, by Judas Priest...

1st time cracking out the vinyl. I'm recording it, in ultra HD 192kHz/32bit.....

The vinyl looks a bit cloudy though, from being pressed in the vinyl sleeve. As long as it plays clean...

edit:

I posted this in another thread:

Has Robert lost an eye? No stripes on the guitar? WTF!

Sounds killer thanks for the heads up.
from what I understand he had a detached retina & had surgery. He was recovering, but kept the patch on, just in case...

edit: oh, & that's Michael, not Robert....

When I listen to this, I almost have to detach it from Judas Priest

It's too bad they didn't do it as a live show, just this, when they had the chance, it would have been ballsy. I would have went, that tour. I'm not much for the endless medleys, where they run all the hits together & no intros, or endings, just on to the next... It's like they just go through the motions & get in as many tastes of their hits as possible, but, they don't do any of them great, they just whiz right through them, for posterity's sake...

I would have loved to have seen them do something like this in it's entirety, in 1 fail swoop...

This is where they were at the time, why not?

But they didn't...
