Made a couple vids last night. Running the Or20 pretty much wide open. One is just me noodling and the other trying to get some ACDC going. Gibson 50s Les Paul Standard into Marshall origin20 head and Orange ppc112 cab. no effects.
amp settings:
low power
presence 6
master 8
bmt 10
tilt 9
gain 10
boost off
I found if i set up the amp running hot and then roll off the volume it gets pretty close tone wise to some Malc. Had to run on low power because even on mid power it was making my phone mic distort.

Thank everyone. I just wanted to post something to actually prove I have a guitar LOL. I'm packing up now to head to a jam. (Organizing musicians is like herding drunken cats in a thunderstorm while blindfolded on acid.)

I like your jams, Circles.
(Organizing musicians is like herding drunken cats in a thunderstorm while blindfolded on acid.)

Never a truer word was said. I think people underestimate this.
If I have horns, blues harp, multi female singers. percussionists... that should compensate for me being a below-average guitar player - I hope.
What am I then? An organizer/manager who happens to play guitar?
So it seems.

There's an imbalance: when do we ever hear a vocalist say 'of course I'll bring my own gear - a PA, a mixer, a selection quality microphones and the knowledge to make it sound good'?

I believe in a conspiracy theory in which all the other band members are slack and leave it to the guitar player to organize things.
I suppose it's inevitable. Guitar players are superior and awesome in every way. They are the only ones with a broad, general understanding of the mission along with the musical and technical know-how.

lol yea I think I might be Robin Trower's bastard son. I cant help it.
That guitar tone doesn't come from Trower. It 's something you play with a straight face along with a thumping bass.
It's a 'boxy' tone. Doesn't sound so boxy once the bass and drums kick in. At that point it just sounds like Marshall.
