Hi. First post on this forum!

I'm building my first Marshall. I've built and repaired amps however.

What I've gotten so far is an AA Electronics PCB for British amps, a Metro 50 watt chassis and bat switch vertical input faceplate from valvestorm.

The iron is all Heyboer from amp parts direct. A Vintage Plexi/800 5H choke, stand up
Marshall style 50 watt PT, and 50 watt Drake wind OT.

My question is regarding the choke.

How well will that choke work with a 2204 build? It's a four hole mount and the chassis I believe uses a two hole. I want to make sure it's gonna work before drilling the chassis. I'm sure it will, but just want to confirm.

Thanks for any help and any help in the future regarding the future questions in this thread.

My opinion is that typical 5H choke is not optimized for Screen and pre amp supply because current thru is not very high. But if original has 5H (200mA) then it function electrically the same and mounting is just a nyance.

There’s also a 2 hole mount version available for 2204s.
