BB King, Elmore James, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, Muddy Waters. I'm not sure if Albert Collins and Buddy Guy qualify? I guess it depends on what they play, but then you could count Clapton in, too. I'd personally say some of the Stones' stuff is really blues without any hint of rock, but that's a can of worms...

buddy played with junior wells and muddy waters. of course hes blues. all day long.
