Just arrived directly from Gibson Europe.
Didn't have a chance to really play it yet, because i have to go to work again immediately.
So i just did a quick inspection. It's my first custom shop Gibson, but i've noticed a different smell to it.
Usually my Gibsons smelled like a vanilla tobacco mix, but this one smells more like citrus.

Congats! That is a flashy looking guitar, did it come with a hat with a big feather in it?

Gorgeous! Let's see more pics of the grain!
Congrats on that beauty!
Mine has a really nice wood grain in with the bengal stripes.
Edit. Mine is a Modern series, is this a regular body?
You are the first other person I have seen with a Bengal burst. Lools fantastic, give er a go tonight!
The guitar has some nice grain, but it's hard to get pictures of it. I think i'll have to experiment a bit with the light.

Or just add the picture Gibson made of it with proper lighting.

It's a axcess custom, so it has the heel and belly carving.

Just played a little bit, and it sounds and plays well. Have to wait until tomorrow when the guitar strap arrives. Don't want to dump it by accident on the first day, just because i'm impatient ...

Whatever you do I hope you won't drill for a pickguard . As with such a fine beautiful figured maple top like that I myself would not want to hide any of that fine figured maple . Plus you know if you drill holes in it tone will then leak out !

I hope it is everything you want it to be! Sure is a looker!
Actually, it's not exactly what i want, but very close.
What i really really want, would be a combination of the Axcess Custom body and my 2019 HP-Mk.II hardware and finish, and some little addons
+ the seafoam top finish of my HP-Mk.II but not faded and quilt instead of flames
+ the natural mahogany finish on the back ( and the traditional exposed maple cap under the binding on the neck joint)
+ The three stripes ("Addidas") binding like on the custom
+ The long tennon of the Axcess custom
+ frets with nibs like on the Axcess custom, but made from stainless steel
+ richlite frettboard instead of ebony like on the HP-Mk.II (I really like the slick feel of richlite)
+ No weight relief, because i love playing my plexi loud as fuck and every piece that could cause feedback should be eliminated
+ The 498T Humbucker from the axcess custom on the bridge
+ A P90 in the neck for more versatility
+ Both pups wax podded ( because of the plexi ... )
+ The rhino valute on the headstock from the axcess custom
+ The adjustable titanium nut from the HP-Mk.II
+ The titanium bridge from the HP-Mk.II
+ The grover locking tuners from the HP-Mk.II ( really miss these on the custom)
+ Chrome hardware ( Especially the chrome knobs from the earlier Mk.I HP models )
+ The split diamond (aka. "guitar player Viagra") on the headstock like on the custom

You can get those features I am sure on a Made 2 Measure Custom Shop build . All it would take is $ and time for the build . I say if that's what you want go for it as life is short and why should we deprive ourselves ? Best Wishes !

Already asked, but most of the stuff isn't in the M2M feature catalogue, like the titanium nut, or stainless steel frets or the seafoam finish, ....

I am surprised by that , as I would have thought anything for $ as I thought it was all a la carte menu . Weird in this day and age ?
