Got my hands on this amazing R9, bought on a whim when visiting a guitar shop I knew I shouldn’t have went to! As soon as I picked it up and strummed it acoustically, I was hooked, plugged it in and was blown away by the Custombuckers. The top is sensational and the Dirty Lemon VOS is an awesome colour and makes the mineral flecks really pop. This one is 100% a keeper.

That is a great looking guitar! Enjoy! I’ve had a R7, R8, two R’9’s and currently a R0. I prefer the slimmer neck. The Custom Shop makes really great guitars! What year is it from?

Neither of my LPs have them. Never had holes for them either, although the 2012 STD+ has a pick guard in the case candy bag.
Les Pauls that come from the factory without pickguards are exempt form my mockery.

But I still maintain that a Gibson Les Paul, especially a 50's - '60 CS Historic model, without it's original-style pickguard installed, is downright sacrilege.

I can accept that.
