New member and first Marshall

Hi all, I just got my first Marshall Amp, a DSL1HR. I have built a 1 x 12” speaker cab with a WGS ET65 in it. Now I want to know whether I should make it open or closed back?
Been lurking for a couple of months and love the forum.
I play mostly Blues, Gospel and classic rock with some Woodie Guthrie stuff too.

to the forum, and congrats on your FIRST Marshall.
May you have many more.
As far as open or closed back cabs, if you are making it, make it do both and see what you like better.

Oh the picture is my service dog and great friend Zest. She is wonderful and helps me tremendously as I am wheelchair bound.

As far as open or closed back cabs, if you are making it, make it do both and see what you like better.

That is a great idea and easy enough to do! Why didn’t I think of that

Three piece back is a way to have both open or closed back.

Thanks to all for the welcome! Having fun with my new amp and cab with my Epi 335 and LP and Tele. Gosh incredible what one watt can do! Now I want a bigger Marshall!
