Beautiful JMP. Congrats! :applause:

And 50W is good to cover all of your needs. The main reason I did not buy an older amp is that I don't like to do the restoration work. But if you don't mind doing it or have a good tech that you trust, then you're all set.

Looking forward to hearing it roar!

You should get a fair amount of distorsion from a cascaded circuit. Maybe have a tech go over the amp, or if you can, do it yourself. Very nice clean looking amp btw. Congrats!!:)
It is strange really because back in the day at gigs it used to really crank up a lot more. It used to get so hot, I could fry an egg on it back in the 80s and 90s.

I had a Marshall guru from my home town who fully restored it a few years ago.
He told me that he was surprised that it never blew up in my face... the input bias voltage was completely out of kilter and the amp could have packed in at any time..

He fixed it all up and did a full restoration. Great guy, Marshall trained tech with his own boutique amp building business now.

🥰🥰

It is such a lovely amp. My personal preferefence is to just overdrive it slightly and use a vintage overdrive pedal to give it that raunch. Get clean power before it goes all gritty. But I do appreciate that my approach is not the same as other peoples opinions xxx 🥰😇

Sorry to be a nerd from college. The 50 watt wind up to just as loud as a 100 watt.. the 50 starts to distort earlier. The RMS rating is when the sine wave starts to distort in a scope. It has nowt to do with volume..
Its crap really sorry.

Looking forward to that. I like that Thin Lizzy sound a lot.
I feel so bad... I just could not get away with 800s I just could not love them. Early 900's I loved, I had one and loved it... I love my little valvestate original AVT 150...for current gigs

But most of all I love my 76 Master Model JMP 100.... the Jailbreak amp xxxx sitting in a case in my music room xxxx a museum piece. It does not overdrive much but it would knock out the wall of the house over the road, it is a nuclear warhead...

Instead of arming Ukraine with weapons, just send them a load of Vintage Marshalls and a load of 4x12 cabs for the war effort xxxx 🥰🥰🥰😇😇😇

The Russian people not want this war, the Russian people do not want the dictator Putin or the evil rich crooked bastards that keep him in power and subjegate the people.

Rejoice when the Russian people reclaim their country back from the evil rich crooks and despots and get their freedom back again.

Imagine playing music to nearly 200,000 people who are worshiping what you are doing . I just cannot imagine a greater adreniline rush than that.

Thank you!
Yes - fortunately I have a very skilled tech that happens to be a Marshall specialist - so it will be in good hands.
Can't wait to post some clips - but first things first -> new caps etc. :)

No I have 10, sorry its an obsession, I will explain if you want xxxx
Well firstly, the original guitar was a Kawai in 1979 that my dads friend sourced for me for 120 quid with the case... a complete steal. A fucking beautiful instrument like a yamaha sg 2000 double cut away. With a classical headstock and just perfect Shaller machine heads. Dimarzio humbuckers. It was my first electric. I still have it.. it weighs a bloody ton..
I am so lucky to had got such a lovely guitar. Ignorant dickheads got plastic planks like 1982 Aria Urchins and mocked me

I know that the electrolyte fluid in the capacitors do deteriate over the years. So will you put new solid state caps in, will that change the sound? Probably not.... xxxx
