Jaco is one of my all time favorite bass players. He turned the bass world upside down with his technique and style. I had the good fortune to see him live with Weather Report. He did his solo with a sample and hold riff, did all kinds of great stuff and of course quoted Third Stone From the Sun.
RIP Jaco.
