Geez, I'm really in good company around here. This must be the most like minds I've ever encountered in one place!
It's a pity we're all on (mostly) opposite corners of the planet. Tell me you're not all whiskey drinkers too?
I’m a tequila guy, personally. But if you put it in front of me, I’ll drink it.

Sorry, I have to diverge there, after new years eve celebrations nearly 40 years ago ending in 🤮 I can’t bear the smell / taste / thought of it.
I’ve never had much of a head / stomach for alcohol though; as much as I love a nice cask IPA or continental abbey ale, 2 is plenty. 3 is too much.

See...I look at that statement now and I worry it infers that I drink beer for breakfast. I may have a beer or two in a week and they are from a local brewery called Wiley's. The beer I like is a stout called "Breakfast at Wiley's Midnight" brewed with coffee and coco nibs that has aged in a bourbon barrel for 23 months. Worth every penny at $15 for a 12 oz can 11.3% ABV Its like a dark syrup and I sip it tiny drop by tiny drop.

We can't all be perfect now. ;)

I worry that I've got this far in life without ever having tried a breakfast coffee stout. Replacing breakfast coffee with breakfast coffee stout seems so obvious, I can't believe it never occurred to me!

(stares at empty breakfast coffee mug on desk)

... I also worry I might come across like an alcoholic. Like @FleshOnGear said, you put it on front of me, I'll drink it.

It's 9am where I am and you've got me thinking about a local drop I'll be cracking with a couple of mates tonight. ... Not an alcoholic.

I like Founders here in the US where you can get 12% for under $5 on a 12oz. bottle.
My go to is Founders Dirty Bastard at 8.5% at $11 for a six pack.
:D

Anyway, a higher wall voltage equates to higher HT voltages but also increases gain, then distortion/saturation. Every amplifier has a design shelf for saturation. So more does not always equal more in a way.
