Hot Mod V2 in a JTM45?

Anyone have a Legendary Tones Hot Mod in a JTM45?
Curious about results and opinions.

I've had one in both a JTM45 and 1987. As you would expect the additional gain stage provides for greater amount of overdrive but not to the extent that you see in a MV Marshall.

The thing with a JTM45 or any non-master volume amp is when you add the mod it pushes the volume. So it’s going to more sensitive/touchy and loud unless you have a master volume or use an attenuator. I know lots of people enjoy it with the non-master volume series amps still, but I think they are best with master volume circuits in general.

The Ceriatone stuff works well and with its MV design, definitely am more encouraged to recommend it for you to try.

I think I read somewhere you can send the mod back to Legendary, and they will do it for you.

I can do it but it will cost you shipping both ways. Not sure it’s worth it for you on whatever the used one costs. But yes you can email me at [email protected]. It involves changing pins 1,2,3 with 6,7,8 and I also replace the male socket to make it cleaner.
