Yes however the JVM does not. Who knows why they did it that way but this seems to be the case with the JVM.


just a thought: JVM's will cost around 800 pounds in the UK...
convert that price into dollars and compare that with the US prices for a JVM...
everybody in the states will start importing themselves if those things still had a mains switch...

by the way, it's the same story with the vintage modern... different tranny's for different continets

The cheapest way around this issue is to purchase a site transformer. These convert standard 230/40 mains to 110v for power tools used on building sites and wire it in reverse.
The output over in the EU becomes the input in the States. and the input in the EU (230v) becomes the power for your 230v equipment.
You must have an Earth lead and it will need to be 500v/A in power rating or more of course if you don't want to carry it far without your van. 🤣
