I don't recall ever seeing Soundgarden. One of my favorite bands for sure and Chris Cornell is definitely my favorite singer. I did see Audioslave though, so I got to see Chris before he died.

Saw Van Halen at least 2x but never with DLR...should have hit the reunion tour. Glad I saw EVH though. He's my favorite guitarist for sure.

LZ would have been great but a little before my time. I saw Robert Plant though.

I missed Anthrax last time through but I'm going to try and see them in Oakland....2hrs away.

What are some of your favorite bands you could have seen, but never did? And regret it. (or not)

I'm too young to have witnessed most of the greats when they were in their Prime. I would have loved to see Deep Purple MK II, one of these concerts in the early 70s.
I got to see AC/DC, with Brian Johnson and way past their prime, but I guess a Gig during the Bon Scott Era would have been way more memorable.
It always gives me a little Sting when I think of that Concert of Manilla Road in Germany- that I never went to. It would have meant for me to travel quite far across Germany, and I couldn't do that at that time. Mark Shelton, Lead Singer and Guitar player passed away after he had a stroke right after that Concert.

I got t see them in their beginning and their prime, to the end of Roth being with the band. 1978 in CA, 1980, 81 and in Las Vegas NV, 1983 US Festival CA, and 1984 Thomas and Mac Center in Las Vegas NV. Eddie ruled those days for sure. Stellar stage performances you would have never forgotten. Good times! I've seen many bands in my life, well over 100 concerts from 1978 to 2008 of 80's bands. A few I did miss due to getting older and my job not letting me off work to go see them. I never got t see Metallica or Journey, but nearly every other band I have seen at least once of 80's era bands in their prime. I feel blessed and could only thank my mother for being a GREAT BAD ASS WOMAN for starting me out and taking me to many of these concerts as a young boy, later as a teen and to adult I went to many on my own. But Ted Nugent, Kansas, Van Halen, Scorpions, JP, Iron maiden, Def Leppard, Ozzy, and so many others I have her to thank for allowing me to see them.

I saw Soundgarden live a few times, the last being their Superunknown tour of '94-'95... 2 years later, the Down On The Upside tour came around, and I really wanted to go to, but it sold out before I was able to get a ticket... then they broke up a year later... I always regretted not going to that show... fast forward to approximately 15 years later, a very brief Temple Of The Dog reunion tour came around to the east coast of the U.S., and stupidly, that show came and went without my lazy ass bothering to get a ticket... I am still kicking myself for missing that one... then, maybe a year or two later, Soundgarden reunited, and did that Telephantasm compilation album, as well as the King Animal album and tour... did I make damn sure to go to that show? of course not. because I'm a damn idiot... we all know what happened a year or two after that...

then there was the time back in 2008 when both The Stooges and Heaven & Hell (the Dio fronted version of Black Sabbath) played my town on the same exact night... my decision was to go see The Stooges, which was a great show... I figured I would catch H&H the next time they came around... which NEVER happened, for obvious reasons.

I saw Jeff Beck in the 90s with Santana. Santana was first but Beck blew me away. My &#$%^ing wife at the time kept bugging me to leave early. This was back in the early 90s and I'm still pissed that I didn't get to a his whole show.

I wish I would have seen AC/DC too.

I saw Ratt with Crosby...same time I saw Metallica w/ Cliff Burton and Yngwie at Day on Green '85.

Missed Bon Scott but I have seen AC/DC, Rush, Ted Nugent, AIC with Layne Staley, ZZ Top, Santana, Buddy Guy, Neal Schon, Elvin Bishop, TOOL (in the early '90's), Velvet Revolver, Joe Satriani, STP, Lynyrd Skynyrd ('91) to name a few.

I've never seen Sammy Hagar w/o VH...I hear he is way better solo. And I know his son Aaron Hagar. Really super nice guy.

AC/DC with Malcolm
Rush
Sabbath
Slayer with Lombardo

Those are the big ones that immediately come to mind. I did get to see Slayer with Hanneman, though.

I saw all of those, but I skipped Slayer when they came through on the last tour with Gary Holt. Then I saw Exodus and became a Gary Holt fan, so I wish I had seen Gary Holt play with Slayer.

I was 16 in 1981, so I missed all the great 70's tours! The Who, LZ, Deep Purple and LS would have been the tops on my list.
I did get to see Page and Plant and the Firm and Lynyrd Skynyrd's first reunion tour...but not the same!

^^I did see Whitesnake with Sykes, definitely one of the best concerts!

I would’ve liked hearing what Holt did with Hanneman’s solos. I was just mad that they had fired Lombardo again. Slayer sounded super tight in the videos I’ve seen of the final line-up, and I love their version of “Strike of the Beast.”

Rush - A buddy bought a VHS tape of them live in concert, and in that performance, they played all of the newer techno stuff and only did a medley of the older, heavier stuff I loved. So I declined to go. He came back telling me that they did all of the great old stuff in its entirety.

Van Halen with the original lineup - I could have seen them in Austin, but I was scheduled to go home on leave. I figured no biggie, I'll catch them another time. Nope. The next time they toured, Sammy Hagar was their singer.

I saw Dokken as the opening act for ______ (I forget who) sometime in the mid-80's. It sounded like they were hardly using the PA at all except for the singer, and George Lynch's Marshalls would just about split your head in half. It wasn't a pleasant experience. Going from them to the main act was like going from a little shrill, piercing AM radio to a large, majestic stereo.

It might have just been that night and the soundcheck, but I wasn't impressed.

Hmmm.
Missed Rush. Obviously Hendrix.
Saw VH with DLR at US Fest 83. And w Sammy a few times.
Still haven't seen ACDC or Alice or Ozzy.
Saw ZZ a few times, Cheap Trick many times, Triumph 6 or 7 times... Scorps, Bon Jovi, I am not complaining.
Got to take my Mom and sister to see Sir Paul and Elton. Was glad to be able to do that.
