I have a VERY EARLY 1996 Ernie Ball Musicman Axis EX/EVH. There were built in Japan for a few years after EVH left Musicman. These were built for the Japan market, using all the same features as the USA Made EBMM EVHs. The early EBMM Axis EXs even had all the SAME HARDWARE AND ELECTRONICS AS THE USA EBMM EVHS!!!

Bound Basswood body with Quilted maple top.... same as USA EBMM EVH
CLEAN Birdseye maple neck and fretboard
PAT PENDING DiMarzio EVH pickups...same as USA EBMM EVH
Musicman Gotoh Floyd with OFFSET SADDLES...same as USA EBMM EVH
German Schaller 4x2 tuners with pearl buttons... same as USA EBMM EVH
Front, lower bout toggle placement... same as USA EBMM EVH
Single volume control with "TONE" knob ... same as USA EBMM EVH
5 number neck plate with old EBMM logo... same as USA EBMM EVH

This guitar is bone stock except for 2 cosmetic mods that I made. I added the EVH sig on the headstock and the 5150 behind the trem. I also added an EVH Dtuna.

This EVH is Trans Pink. No flash was used in these pics...the top is that good!!! The body is slightly faded, these guitars were notorious for fading finishes. It is in great condition for 26 years old! There are no cracks, no breaks, no repairs. No blems through the finish. The trem, bar, neck plate and nut show some light oxidation. Frets show light, very light wear, they are 95%. It sets up perfectly with a low action...the neck is a smooth as a babys bottom and is super fast!!! The trem is decked for dive only...stays in tune, dive after dive!!! The tone is TOTAL EVH!!!! The pinnacle of EVH tone and playability!!!!

Don't pay $8-9000 for a USA EBMM EVH!!! GET THE EXACT SAME GUITAR...IN A SUPER RARE COLOR...FOR HALF THE MONEY!!!!
