I always pictured myself at Wembley playing before 100,000 screaming fans, standing on two of these, 1 foot on the top of one amp cabinet, the other foot on the other amp cabinet, with a 1959 Les Paul.

Alas, as he only has one stack for sale, I shall pass.

Next!

Nice rig!

A bit dusty, crusty, old and rusty for that kinda bread. Still it looks kinda stunning...
That being said, I'd get it anyways but theres no damned USB port to upgrade it.

I understand that it’s an extremely rare full stack in great condition, but isn’t that price really high ?? I can’t imagine anyone but a wealthy musician laying down that sort of cash….and how many of them are around ??

There are likely more wealthy musicians than there are stacks like that! It would be a shame for it to get "collected" and never even used for playing again!

I'm reasonably confident that the seller is right about it being the best original condition surviving example of its kind. Dual OT JTM45/100s are incredibly rare to begin with. Only about a hundred were made, serial numbers in the 6500 to 6600 range.

Given its guaranteed rarity and outstanding condition, I can find ways to justify the price even though it's completely out of my price range without a huge windfall profit coming my way very soon.

Oh, I think it would be glorious to have the opportunity to have that rig, well serviced and tuned up, to play through for awhile! Although there does seem to be a consensus that tremolo models sound a bit different than the "non" tremolo models. The assumption that its officially only 70-80 watts (as opposed to a full 100 watts) is pretty attractive also. I'd be betting on tones for days, without being truly blisteringly loud! I can only imagine!
I'd Still Love To Try It!

Guitarists and collectors with ample gear spending budgets drop that amount of coin easily for a Dumble. So for a chance to own a well preserved ultra rare piece of history, the price doesn’t seem out of line.

For which a friend pointed out this morning…it sold!

Got my doubts about the 4x12 cabs being "super clean and original", I would want to see better photos or see them in person to check they are not refurbished. You can't quite tell from those pics.

I just find it very odd that the slant cab, which appears to be circa early to mid 66, has had all the internal foam removed - you can see the glue where it once was, the original speakers taken out - likely greenbacks, and swapped for alnicos from 1964. Yet the tolex is somehow mint on the outside??? The green on black effect just isn't popping out for me in those pics on either cab.

Ridiculous price tags like that are usually attached to the dodgy stuff too. Hope the buyer knows what he is doing.
