Thanks Pelliix. So at the DSL's bias test point am I setting my meter for volts and reading that as milliamps or am I on the current setting and truly reading milliamps?
Yes, set it to Volts. You are in fact reading the mA, but there's a couple of resistors to 'convert' this for you in the amp. Those resistors *CAN* of course go off spec, but it's very uncommon and almost impossible for them both to drift equally, so if both sides are exhibiting the same "issue", it stands to reason that you can trust them. It's a 1:1 conversion mA -> mV.
