Thanks Pelliix. So at the DSL's bias test point am I setting my meter for volts and reading that as milliamps or am I on the current setting and truly reading milliamps?

Yes, set it to Volts. You are in fact reading the mA, but there's a couple of resistors to 'convert' this for you in the amp. Those resistors *CAN* of course go off spec, but it's very uncommon and almost impossible for them both to drift equally, so if both sides are exhibiting the same "issue", it stands to reason that you can trust them. It's a 1:1 conversion mA -> mV.

Thanks again. I realized my error too late. I edited the earlier post to read volts and millivolts so I hopefully won't confused too many more people. Thank you.

Hello everyone, I'm a guitar player from China. Recently I repaired a friend's DSL40CR. The same problem appeared on this msrshall amp. After burning through multiple R49's and agonizing over them all day, I luckily googled this topic. Thanks for all you got here. I fixed the unit, I sent the pics, apparently the same problem, I cut the wires on the pcb and reconnected on the back. All damaged resistors were replaced. It's been working fine for a few hours now. Thanks again to everyone in the forum.
