China has been talking about this for some time now. They entered into an agreement with Russia months back. The agreement was to use their currencies when trading with each other. They also entered onto an agreement with the BRICS not use the dollar when trading amongst each other.
No doubt China would like to see their currency become the world reserve. I dont believe that will happen. Whatever the new WRC (SDR) is it is likely to be partially backed by gold and also be a basket of a few currencies.
Regardless of what the new WRC is when the dollar loses that status you will see our debt problem escalate overnight.
