I do a lot of driving in my job and I listen to a LOT of podcasts. When I find a podcast that I haven't heard before, I generally download ten episodes so I can listen to it and if it doesn't do anything for me in ten episodes, I'm done with it.
I found this one, "A History Of Rock Music In 500 Songs" and I think it's probably the best rock music podcast I've ever heard. The host chooses a song for the podcast and gives you a TON of information and background. I've learned so much about some of my favorite songs and artists on this podcast.
Give it a shot. Download ten episodes and if it doesn't grab you, at least you can speak from a position of knowledge if it comes up in conversation sometime.
