Agreed. The amp’s wiring looked and sounded good enough to original, so I had to buy it. It does sound amazing and with the tones I was looking for, but I’m wondering if the mods it’s had or the tampering of the wiring are deceiving me... I’ll try to get good recordings of what it can do soon.

Betting there's a schematic on the web somewhere ?
That's a lot to drop on any iconic amp. But if it sounds great after dialing it in, and its everything that you hoped it be. Excellent ! Nice to have someone go through it ,and assess,adjust and restore if neccessary? Even just to get its full true tone to shine.

I would do both cabs with EC pinstripe cloth and replace the wrong head logo with the correct 6 " Gold script

I’ll definitely recover the cab’s grill cloth with EC’s pinstripe, but the tolex seems alright. The gold piping isn’t that well done either.
