I have a 75 Twin Reverb and it is 100 watts. I thought about blackfacing it but there were a couple of people in another forum that said that it isn't worth doing because the difference was small. Did you notice a big difference?
I have the exact same problem and it is driving me crazy. Pulling out the effects return cable a bit has been working for me right now. I was going to clean everything that you described this weekend. Let me know if you fix it.
I have a 2001 JCM2000 DSL.
The guy I bought it off had gotten it in a trade and really didn't like the C shape neck. He was more of a Tele person too.
There was another Strat for sale that had Texas Specials that I thought of getting but T thought that these might be warmer. I'm so used to Lace Sensors that I'm going...
Got this guitar a few days ago. I have a 1997 Strat Plus with Lace Sensors and rosewood neck so I wanted something different as well. It had an ash body and 1954 pickups. Pretty guitar and nice playing. I found out that they took the 1954 pickups but made them slightly hotter. I kind of wished...
8 ohm jack
Bias is not an inssue with the 50w amps. It has only been reported with some of the 100w amps made before 2005. Check all your preamp tubes, clean all the tube sockets and jacks. Are you using the 8ohm jack, or the 16ohm jack?
Reminds me of the Beatles Get Back movie. They are being real lazy with no direction and Paul mentions that Mr. Epstein was the one pushing them before but they didn't have much direction after. I wonder how much success they would have had without him.
I saw Jeff Beck in the 90s with Santana. Santana was first but Beck blew me away. My &#$%^ing wife at the time kept bugging me to leave early. This was back in the early 90s and I'm still pissed that I didn't get to a his whole show.
I wish I would have seen AC/DC too.
I'm having problems with cut outs on my amp and figured that I would upgrade the OT and have a choke instead of resistor. What is t the recommended parts. I remember Classic Tone but I think someone said they went out of business. Mercury Magnetics then?
What gives? It used to do it and after putting in new tubes it went away for about 6 months but is back. It is to come back on after 30 seconds but ne I have to shut it off for awhile.
Aggravating.
Nice guitar! In the early 80s I tried a 73 SG and I remember that was a $300. It was one of the best playing guitars. I ended up buying a 78 Les Paul for $525 instead but I kept thinking about the 73 SG.
After going back and forth on which year is the best and all, I finally found a good fdeal on a 2019 Gibson 50s Les Paul Standard off Craigslist.
The guy selling it seemed like my lost twin brother. I was there at his house for 2 hours talking guitars and all kind of stuff. The one difference...
That if beautiful. I don't have one but Ibanez can make some great guitars. I have an ibanez george benson gb10 that is a quality build. I never sell it.
