    Series 2 Bluesbreaker JTM45????

It's on the cover of the Beano album. The vent being wide and the black tolex indicates possibly a later cab. photos of the output transformer would be helpful. You'd have to be suspicious of this amp until proven otherwise.

    "Factory Conversion" Super Lead/Bass Amps?

It would be good to see internal photos of your amp.

    THOR

I believe Snuffy Walden used a Thor in his band Stray Dog.

Last of the Dual OT JTM100s

The OTs are wired in parallel not bridged so there really isn't a lot more power this way.

Last of the Dual OT JTM100s

All serviced and sounding amazing considering the original filters. Played it for a solid 2 hours on 8. Very stable running at 240V with the step up. 520 B+, 6.3V heaters. Sad that it has 3 holes and missing what I believe would be a Big M logo since it came from Sweden, but inside it is a...

    Late '60s Marshall Plexi Prices

It is probably true that prices really haven't increased greatly in "real" terms based on the time value of money. I believe I saw in the 500s for a 100w trem on the '68 price list. Since sellers pay pretty steep fees and buyers have sales tax you can expect negotiated deals behind the listed...

What do we call this? (JTM45/JTM50/JMP50 transition model)

I have 1709 which is a block chassis JTM45. I think 1720 started life as a JTM45, but maybe had those changes made at the factory or someone owned it who had parts.

Help me figure out what Marshall Amp this is ……

Probably a model 1987 or 1986. After the advent of the Master Lead series one could still order the classic models. I remember seeing a 1959 from 1980 that had rocker switches but otherwise a Super Lead.

I guess this really makes me a Marshall Collector

It is solid state and printed circuit board. It's been 20 years since I opened it up, but I remember seeing mustards in there.

I guess this really makes me a Marshall Collector

A Marshall 12 channel mixing desk from '73-'74. Anyone seen one of these before? It is listed in the 1974 catalogue. I want to get this up and running and see what it can do.

Model '1972' 2X12 cabinet: dimensions wanted

I can measure mine today. It should be about 26"W X 30"H X 12"D. Actually the '69 catalogue has those dimensions as I checked as I wrote this, so you should be set.

Opinions on this 68 Plexi ??

I remember this head being on the market a long time. When priced right and the condition is straight, they usually go pretty fast.

The particularities about Eddie Van Halen plexi 12301

There was another account of Eddie's amp from Chris Merren who claimed to examine it in the 70's. I don't remember mention of the 50K mid pot, but I do remember these features: Shared cathode, .022 channel 1 coupling cap, 5000pf vol 1 pot cap, 33K slope resistor, .250pf treble cap, 250mf...

1968 Marshall Plexi Superlead(12000 series) vs 1971 Marshall Superlead

Agreed. I would be interested in knowing voltage readings of pin 1 of V1 between the 2 amps.

What is the value of that tropical fish V2 bypass cap on the Dec. amp?

    Nice rig (Reverb.com)

I'm speaking of another earlier ('67) US export 50W Tremolo head on reverb that does have a rectifier tube.

    Nice rig (Reverb.com)

I guess you could make the argument that in that condition its worth double of average, at least the bottom. I find the head up the road from me at Cream City Music in Milwaukee far more interesting. It appears to have a factory rectifier tube. This museum quality rig will probably wind-up...

1968 Marshall Plexi Superlead(12000 series) vs 1971 Marshall Superlead

I don't consider the dropping resistor variations as mistakes. When you factor in variations in B+ voltage from 475-525 and dropping resistor combinations as described above we are talking about somewhat subtle effects compared to a pretty major effect between the 10K vs 1K or 820 at the V2...

1968 Marshall Plexi Superlead(12000 series) vs 1971 Marshall Superlead

I was referring to TAZIN's post about Unicord having to correct that mistake on amps in that period coming in. My amp spent its life sounding tame. Now it is great. It has the 8k2/10k droppers.
