Hello @Slayerfan84
I am familiar with some of Todd Langner’s (RIP) work.
I had a one off Todd did while he still worked at ADA. It even had the ADA knobs for the second channel.
It wasn’t where my ears wanted to go but that is not saying all of Todd’s work would not be agreeable with me.
I...
@RadioAD5GB
Thank you for the great words. I have a few core mods I have worked out. All must be articulate.
The cad is from 1996. 1960AV(UK Vintage 30’s which are rated at 65 watts each. These are proprietary to Marshall only. They were developed in 1986 for the 80’s players.
Mesa decided...
Hello my friend. I am happy that you have bonded well with the Pandora. It has been by far the most requested extensive mod (rework). There are many out in the US, a few in Canada & a couple in Europe.
It was my first offering to the community. I applied it to one of my 2203 JMP’s. The great...
Thank you.
I redesigned V2 & it’s coupling. The tone stack is stock fed by V2 pin 6 anode/plate.
There are many ways to skin a cat. Who ever said we are just reinventing the wheel certainly did not understand the difference between racing slicks or all terrain tread. Just had to throw that out...
The tone stack is plate driven & responds as normal as it is a post tone stack master volume with no Pre Phase Inverter Master Volume.
V2B is a cathode. I beefed up all of the V1 & V2 cathodes & anodes in addition to many other developed assemblies & routing of the circuit etc…

@egodiot
Thank you for listening & posting. Your words of support are very much appreciated.
I of course agree with your point of view.
As requested on keeping all advised I went back in & made some custom adjustments to resistors referred to as the Swamp & Screen resistors. This shaved off...
@ El Gringo
Your words are very humbling. I respect your opinion & am thankful that you took time to listen, read & post.
The 2555(X) is a great circuit. I played the forerunner of the Jubilee which was the 2205/2210 for 25 years pushed with one of my few SD-1’s from1983/1984.
I believe it...
@Purgasound
On the OP, no added tube. I used the cathode follower as a 4th gain stage on this circuit (Divergent).
On the Axis yes added tube with 4 & 5 stages of gain. I just skin the cats differently. There are so many ways to arrive where one wishes to be with tone. Reinventing the wheel...
I have built a couple from the ground up using quality parts. Heyboer (Dagnall) Transformers, ARS Caps, JJ Tubes throughout. Turret Board Hand Wired.
This guy wanted a darker sounding amp.
I have enough for a couple more when time permits been busy modifying player’s Marshall’s.
Thank you my long time friend & mentor.
I went back in & adjusted values on the power tube Dampner/Swamp & Screen resistors to shave off some annoying peaked highs on the B & E strings when soloing.
I just finished playing a couple hours. I think it is time to build a 100 watt Divergent...
@Rokinroller
Thanks for listening & posting. Your compliments are too kind. Though, my intent from the beginning 13 years ago was to not require the hissing low end robbing pedals.
Thanks again. Much respect, David
