    I went with PPIMV on my 100 watt build and wound up taking it out, It felt "fizzy" to me.... I think its a LARMAR mod.... I haven't tried any others

    I struggled with this ....I needed a cabinet,,,,went to a guitar show....and there was a vintage Marshall small box....a little rough but it has a logo...I bought it for $80 and it houses my jtm45 build.... I know.... but $80 .....C'mon.... and I will not sell it as a real Marshall ....promise !

    Agreed… Jtm45, the 1959 and the 2203 are the defined Marshall sounds… I have a 1969 1987 that kicks ass… a 1986 is also killer… There are small differences between them… the 2203 is a lot of pre amp type gain… The 1959 needs to be cranked for max fire breathing … so does the 1987… but that’s...

    Adhesive for metal faceplates?

    I had a spot that was separating, I used a dab of gorilla glue and it worked fine.... that was around 5 years ago, Its still holding and no adverse effects. But sue extremely sparinig....when it dries it foams up. so use way way less than you first think.

    You do need to watch that heater volage, and with that the bias changes,,,,so you need to "set it up" for that voltage your running ....you cant just plug up and go...

    I started using a variac to bring the voltage to 110VAC from the 120VAC I get … and it will vary from day to day …. Variac doesn’t adjust for it really just keeps it from going too high… I have seen it at 125VAC Just watch your Bias setting and adjust to a recommended idle … I started doing...

    It probably is not … I thought PA amps had inputs in between and at the end… I’m not sure what internal differences are… Come to think of it it’s not… something about a 68uf cathode follower … Too bad … you should buy this… these scream…

    You may also want to replace that power cable with a grounded three prong … unhook that death cap and polarity switch … leave them in … but unhook them…
