I took my new tweed champ to my music club tonight with a strat. It was very loud and held its own with a drummer, bass and 3 additional guitars. I was impressed. With the axe plug into the higher gain input it is a bit growly for clean work.
I did not use any pedals. I think it might be best...
Top of the morning my dear friend.
I went to the London Arena yesterday to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. They were top draw.
But more importantly my son was buying us what I believe are called MEGA PINTS. Basically a massive glass of beer. Probs 2 pints. I am sure you can imagine the terror...
My house backs the forest, so pretty field mice come into the garage and have in the past done real damage. So I have to set traps regularly.
Yesterday, I loaded the trap with Row’s Honey and a squashed Cadbury Rollo. Yum yum, a real treat. I set a hair trigger on the trap and left it.
This...
When I bought my plexi I could not believe how the tone matched what I wanted to hear. Am I still happy with it - yes - do I play it a lot - yes. Would I buy it again - no but only because I am a bedroom player. What would I do if I did not have it? Almost definitely by a Friedman Hand Wired...
Are kits available for dummies. With step by step instructions?
I am /was a builder so I am practical. But not technical. I don’t even know what a transistor is or does.

Hi Stummer Joe,
When I switch this tweed on the Tone is there every time. I could never quite get this on my modeller.
I have just spent a few hours with pedals including a Spark Boost,
Sound glorious. If it had a ten inch speaker I think it would be better. But it is a 57 Tweed Champ and...
I know what you mean. Mine cost £1140.00
Even now when I look at it, I can see it was too much money.
But it is all I am playing through at the moment and it is nice. BUT it does need pedals.
Anyway I have done it now.
This hobby is so addictive and takes money if you let it.
I will take it...
I just bought a Fender 57 hand wired Champ. The quality of note separation and pick attack is excellent.
Immediately I started looking at Friedmans.
This champ was supposed to stop me Gasing.
Damn I need to control myself but this thread has got me in the mood.

Hi Friends,
Yesterday I traded my Blues Junior, Headrush Gig board and a fist full of dollars for a handwired champ. (New).
The head headrush was killing me I am too OCD to own one - all tweaking no playing.
Any I can't believe how much I spent on this new toy.
First up it gives the tone I...
I use a Weber Mini Mass for my SV 20 and I thought it was good. But today I tried the Tone King attenuator, it was a world of difference - the tone barely changed. Of course TK do not make them with switchable Ohms. So you may have to change your speaker, if you buy one.
